Since their beginning at the conclusion of 2005, Alcina has slowly been working their way up in the Tennessee hardcore and metal music scene. They've released 2 albums (Of Hearts Left Unnourished and The Road Less Traveled) toured the nation, and have their CDs and merchandise in several major stores and online retailers.
With their new lineup,consisting of Wes Breedwell, Kyle Errickson. Brandon Keyser, CoryCastro, and Sanders Reid, Alcina are currently working on a new full-length release on Real Hope Records (due out Fall 2009) in the vein of bands like Misery Signals, Life in Your Way, and The Ghost Inside.

In March of 2010, the band announced that they would be dissolving the band and reforming under a new name.
