Deepspace5 was born In 1997, when an idea came about to bring some ultra-talented nobodies together and from an alliance that could shake the planet and become one of the strongest conglomerates known to hip-hop. Originally 6 members strong, the collective features a number of underground hip-hop artists, most notably members of Pride and Labklik. They set out simply to make groundbreaking music. The crew figured that the rest would take care of itself.
The originally and primary group includes Playdough, Beat Rabbi, Listener, Manwell?, Fred B, ManCHILD, DJ Dust, Sintax.the.Terrific, Illtrip, Sivion, and Sev Statik.
A dozen years, new members, many albums later, the crew has put out some good and groundbreaking hip hop -and continue to do so in 2009 and beyond.
