Pop
Short for “popular music”, Pop is a vast and extensive genre of music. It was conceived as a light alternative to the Rock genre. It features strong rhythmic elements, relies heavily on melodies and hooks, and is dedicated to conventional song structure. Artists in this genre are mostly solo performers, however Pop groups are common as well.
