Alternative
A style of the Rock genre that started out being called “college rock”. It is a style used to describe a sound captured most effectively in the 1990s by a wide variety of bands wanting to break the mold of the Pop that was dominate in the 80s. The term now refers to Rock music that blends many different styles to create a unique sound.
