Some may know Gileah Taylor as a talented singer/songwriter from Destin, Florida.  Some may know her as the driving force behind the folk pop project known as Gileah and The Ghost Train. Some may know her as the wife to BEC Recordings artist Chris Taylor. Whatever hat she is wearing at the time, it is always Gileah.

Gileah has been playing music for the better part of her life, she began playing live in her early teens.  Her first real entrance into songwriting began much later when she began to write stories and lullabies, and recorded her first album in 2005, entitled The Golden Plains.  The album perked ears with it's almost childlike view on the world, but most importantly on the issues of faith discussed throughout the album.

In 2007, she partnered with Ava Quigly, Kevin Woerner, Ben Phillips, and producer Allen Salmon to create the album Gileah and The Ghost Train. While Gileah's voice and lyrics are predominate in the songs, ...The Ghost Train explored some of the darker aspects of her artist themes, along with expanding her sound dramatically.  The album received critical praise from all over, and the song "Emergency" was featured in one of Paste Magazine's music legendary samplers.

In 2009, Gileah said she was working on new music, and even hinted at a storybook to accompany the album. Whatever she does, fans know to expect the unexpected from this gifted artist and songwriter.
