Also known as The Tonic, John Wells is one of the founding members of the Grammy nominated gospel hip-hop group The Cross Movement. He served as the center piece emcee for the group from their beginnings in the late 90s, and in 2006 a health emergency began his evolution in to a solo artist. In 2009 he released The Dash using his real name as the moniker.
John Wells is also the founder and CEO for Cross Movement Records (CMR). Under his leadership, the label has not only released The Cross Movement and it's individual member's (The Ambassador, Da T.R.U.T.H., ect.) albums since the turn of the century, but has also nurtured artists such as JR, Flame, and Lecrae.
John Wells rarely performs as The Tonic anymore, and remains busy in his CEO postion at Cross Movement Records.
