Joy Williams is a singer/songwriter from Nashville who has been recording music since she was 14 years old. At 17, she signed on with Reunion Records, and released her self-titled debut. With Reunion she released 3 full lengths, toured the world, and sold over 250,000 records. She has received over 11 Dove Music Award nominations in that time span. In 2005 however, she split with Reunion citing "career direction and philosophical differences". It would be four years before she released another song.
In 2008, Joy Williams and her husband Nate Yetton started their own record label with sensibility music. Joy has been releasing her music through that label ever since.
Joy William's music has been featured everywhere, including televeision shows such as Grey's Anatomy, 90210, Drop Dead Diva and many others. As a songwriter, Joy Williams has written hit songs for Mandisa, Natalie Grant, David Archuleta, Vicky Beeching, and many others.
In 2009, Joy Williams not only released several brand new EPs, but unvailed a musical partnership with songwriter John Paul White called The Civil Wars. The pair have also had songs featured on Grey's Anatomy, and are working on a full length album to be available some time in 2010.
