Formed in 2006, after the dissolve of vocalist Erich Barto's former band Alove For Enemies, Letter to the Exiles has been patiently crafting their sound and vision. With a ministry that is uncompromising, and songs that would rattle even the most hardened hardcore/metal fan, Letter to the Exiles have set out on a mission to spread the love of God in a way that is non alienating and offers hope.

As the first release by this native Long Island, NY band, A Call to Arms combines uplifting and passionate lyrics with blazing metal riffs and breakdowns that will shake hell itself. In 2008, Letter to the Exiles hit the road to promote A Call to Arms and established themselves amongst the ever growing ranks of hardcore and metal bands.

In late 2009, Letter To The Exiles announced that they had signed with Facedown Records imprint Strike First Records, and would be releasing their first full length, The Shadow Line,  in early 2010 through the label.
