All We Know Is Falling, the debut release from Paramore, marks the arrival of a truly enthralling new rock band. Powered by buoyant melodies and powerful hooks, Paramore's debut is made indelible by the irresistible force of singer Hayley Williams. The 16-year-old vocalist's earnest emotion and strikingly confident range and phrasing set Paramore apart from the pack, with the joyous noise of songs such as "My Heart" and "Here We Go Again" evincing a passionate positivism that can't help move every listener in its path.

Raised in Meridian, Mississippi, Hayley Williams has been raising her voice for as long as she can remember - singing and writing songs for talent contests and local commercials. At 13, her family moved to Franklin, Tennessee, where she made friends with two brothers - guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro. It wasn't long before the two teenaged musicians invited Hayley Williams to sing in their fledgling band.

The Farros helped open up Hayley's musical horizons, introducing the talented young singer to a new world of music, from classic rock bands such as U2 and The Cure to such modern outfits as Sparta and Failure.

"It was all so new for me," she says. "It really challenged me to use my voice in different ways. It was also good for me as a writer because I realized that lyrics didn't have to be simple pop stuff; they could be harder and deeper."

The band adopted the moniker Paramore and started performing and recording almost immediately. They played at local gatherings and their school talent show, then quickly began performing at rock venues in and around Franklin. The combination of musical energy between brothers, Jason and Hayley's bold charisma earned Paramore instant attention.

After having seen Paramore perform only once, Fueled By Ramen's founder John Janick knew he had to sign the band. "I seldom find a band that I feel compelled to work with after just one encounter" John says. "I knew that I had to put out the Paramore record after I met the band. Their talent, sincerity and dedication exceed that of many bands."

Paramore describe their music with three words: energetic, emotional and fun. Their live show is explosive and high energy and showcases Paramore's relentless drive to make sure the audience is having as good a time as they are. They are all precociously talented musicians, with Josh and Hunter's surprisingly intricate guitars, Zac's kinetic rhythms and Jeremy's strong bass providing the perfect foundation to the band's infectious pop hooks and Hayley's open-hearted vocals.

Hayley Williams has worked hard to expose her life and emotions in her lyrics. They speak from her experiences growing up and out of the passion she has for music and for everyone close to her. Paramore are truly all friends, friends who love playing together and have fun doing it. They share a common goal - to connect with people, and their enthusiasm is catching.

Paramore began recording their second album Riot! in January 2007, ending production in March, without the guitar of Hunter Lamb (who left the band early in 2006 to get married); without Lamb, lead guitarist Farro was required to play both guitar parts on the album. Lamb has since been replaced by guitarist Taylor York, who had been in a band with the Farro brothers before the two met Williams, as temporary member for the duration of touring. After being courted by producers Neal Avron and Howard Benson, Paramore opted to record Riot! with New Jersey producer David Bendeth, releasing the album on June 12, 2007.

Riot! entered the Billboard 200 at number 20, the UK charts at number 24, and sold 44,000 its first week in the United States. The name Riot! had been chosen because it meant “a sudden outburst of uncontrolled emotion”, and it was a word that “summed it all up”. The first single from the album, released June 21, 2007, “Misery Business”, is, according to Williams, “more honest than anything I’ve ever written, and the guys matched that emotion musically.”

In June of 2009, Paramore announced that Taylor Yorke was now an official and permanent member of the band, filling the rhythm guitar spot left open by original member Hunter Lamb in 2006.

In 2009, the band's third full-length, Brand New Eyes, debuted strong on the charts its first week, propelling to Paramore even more into the light that they so readily deserve.
